With its release coinciding with 2006s The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, The Fast and the Furious on PlayStation 2 focuses on the underground sport of drift racing. Players must perfect the art of power sliding through busy Tokyo streets by monitoring an optional "drift indicator" and carefully gliding across zigzagging courses and hairpin turns. One hundred licensed sports cars are available to tune with more than 500 body kits from authentic JDM manufacturers. Paying homage to the games cinematic roots, the developers have incorporated a contextsensitive camera system that offers multiple views of cars and roads during competition.
